about

Our second EP “TAKE CARE” - to be released January 17th, 2020 establishes an atmospheric sound moving beyond genres. It questions the way our brains are normally wired to process music. Suddenly the gut feeling we always had but couldn’t articulate becomes visible in all the colours that resemble our distorted reality. The room full of smoke clears up and silhouettes become visible. Familiar shapes make us feel at home, memories long forgotten resurface and uncanny objects let us question our perception.
It’s about having a diffuse image of an ideal version of ourselves while being unable to do this version justice because it would mean letting go of old habits and relationships deeply inscribed in our identity and making decisions that we didn’t ever want to make. It’s about realising that the flipside of contradiction was always diversity which allows us to find freedom and the capability to move between categories and identities we have obliged ourselves to. At the end of the day growing up means accepting that you will never reach this ideal version and that frailty and inner conflicts don’t mean weakness. Contradicting ourselves in our actions and not finding the means to speak is sometimes ok.

Reality is a lot more complex than you thought at 2am and no matter your decisions the world is still spinning around.

about

Monako Montréal, Québec

From Hamburg to Montreal. From melodrama to lust for life.
The sound of a world that's spinning, no matter what.
Violent yet soothing.
3 guitars, countless effects, a bass and drums provide a sonic landscape in which a voice, tormented by earthly doubts is accompanied by its transcendent counterpart that only enters your consciousness when you let go of rationality.
